Honey and balsamic braised ham

  • Portions : 6 to 8

Ingredients

  • Half a picnic ham
  • 1 beer of your choice
  • 125 ml (½ cup) honey
  • 125 ml (½ cup) balsamic vinegar

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 275°F.

  2. Place the ham in a casserole dish and pour in the beer.

  3. Cover and cook for about 4h30 hours.

  4. Simmer honey and balsamic vinegar in a saucepan over low heat.

  5. Baste the ham several times during the last half-hour of cooking, without putting the lid back on.

  6. Serve with your favorite side dishes.
